I ask most of my clients to create a food log and keep it for at least a few days. My favorite has been www.Cronometer.com. Although recently, a client pointed out to me that www.LoseIt.com was easier to use. Regardless, food logging of any sort, even using a pen and paper (!), can be an important tool to start eating healthier.
I am going to delve into this topic more in my Sunday Newsletter, however, Cronometer has just rolled out a new feature which is interesting and for the month of May it is free.
Here is their announcement:
Here at Cronometer, we’re big supporters of the fact that women are not small men! Females require a unique set of macro and micronutrient targets to be their healthiest selves. So, in celebration of National Women’s Health Week on May 8-14, 2022, we are releasing a women’s health Nutrition Score! Normally our Nutrition Scores are only available to our Gold Subscribers, but for the month of May, we are releasing this one score to all of our female users, free of charge.
If you don’t currently log or use another app, I encourage all women to check out this feature and see how they score. While any one number (nutrition score) isn’t going to tell you how good (or bad) your diet is, it can give you important insights.
Before making any drastic changes in diet or lifestyle it is always a good practice to discuss them with your health professional.
If you would like more information on food logging, diet or health in general book a free 15-minute discussion with me at www.Heal.Me/dave.
